Our rent protection insurance is provided by HomeLet who also conduct our comprehensive referencing to ensure we only find the best tenants for your investment property. The policy protects landlords against missed rent and any associated legal costs whilst recovery of the property is obtained.
Peace of mind for landlords
- Cover for the total monthly rent, no matter how many tenants are on the tenancy agreement.
- Cover for missed rental payments until vacant possession of the property is obtained or for up to 15 months, whichever comes first.
- Up to three months’ rental payments at 75% following vacant possession (where applicable).
- Legal expenses up to £100,000 to cover eviction costs if the tenant is in breach of their tenancy agreement.
- Covers breaches of the tenancy agreement by the tenant, including non-payment of rent and expired section 21 notices.
- Cover should a tenant defend the action taken, they’ll continue to pay the claim until the challenge has been resolved.
- 12 Months’ Cover.
- Rent Recovery Plus covers the whole property, meaning the policy continues even when/if the tenants change
- No policy excess; your rental payments are covered straightaway.
- Paid monthly
As our landlord, you can have your interest noted in our Rent Recovery Plus policy. You do not have any rights under the policy, but if your tenant does fall into arrears and your agent makes a successful claim under the policy, any sums recovered that are due will be passed to you. HomeLet will write to you directly to confirm your interest in this once a policy has been arranged.
